he Community Planning Program Area partners with residents and community stakeholders to shape Charlotte’s growth by developing and updating three key policy documents: the Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan, the Charlotte Future 2040 Policy Map, and the Charlotte Future 2040 Community Area Plans. The program also supports the community through education and engagement initiatives such as the Planning Academy and the Area Plan Roadshow.
